I exercise regularly, but I’ve had problems with my back on and off for many years. Last year the problems seemed to escalate. I would have a different issue with my back every couple of weeks over a period of 6 months. I finally made up my mind to really do something about it, and I started seeing Erika on a regular basis. Erika identified the problem which was that I had no core strength along with some postural and mechanical issues. I had to learn how to use my core correctly, strengthen the muscles, and I had to become more aware of how I was standing, lifting and moving. We started slowly because I just wasn’t aware of how to recruit the muscles properly. However, I was able to “graduate” from her care in a few months, and I haven’t had any problems since. Erika is amazing. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She has a deep understanding in how the body works and can communicate it in a way that makes sense. If an exercise isn’t working, Erika quickly adapts or adjusts it so that it works for you. She keeps you on track, motivates you but is also understanding if you happen to have an off week.
